Wow - well if it takes an average of 9 years, she might do it in half the time!

That was, until suddenly the entrance to the bar was ablaze with flashbulbs as Kate Bosworth, wearing a Chanel dress and handbag, stepped inside.

The actress, whose hair was perfectly coiffed into a high bun that took a hairdresser 40 minutes to create, lamented that she would not be sticking around for Fashion Week. “I have to get back to L.A. to get back to a project,” said Bosworth, who is currently in the pre-production stage of a new movie. “It started with auctioning the rights to a book, finding the financing, finding the director, finding the script. It really does take a few years.” Now with a director onboard, things are moving forward and Bosworth is helping with the script. “I have been involved with the writing of the script closely and I will be involved with the re-writing of the script closely, so it really is kind of a hands-on experience all around.”

She does help writing the script!  Cheesy Grin

I love this. She must be very passionate about this book since she's worked on it for so long. It's so refreshing to see such a young actress (especially that is usually considered mediocre like Boz probably is) commit herself for so long to a project that she has worked on from the scratch. Love it. (But I would also very much love it if she could squeeze in some more films in the mean time ... Keira really doesn't have to get ALL the best roles ya' know! Wink)

Mike and Catherine interview "the other" Catherine Hanrahan this morning at 8:20. Listen to hear about the movie version of this author's debut novel "Lost Girls and Love Hotels".

Listen to the interview here.

'It turned out the actress Kate Bosworth ended up purchasing the auction and she's gonna produce the film as well star in that. It's pretty surreal'

'It's in pre-production, I guess. They've got the director, they just doing(?) the budget, and figuring all that stuff out. It's been 3 years, and it's getting closer, at least.'

'From what I can tell now they're just focusing mostly on the thriller aspect of the novel which is the missing girl.

In the United States, the name of Jean-Marc Vallee is associated with the film Lost Girls and Love Hotel, produced by Relativity Media. The film tells the story of a young woman who sank into drug and alcohol arriving in Tokyo. According to the director, the film could be shot at the end of 2011.

I used 'Google Translator' to translate the article.

Undecided, I hope they would shoot it sooner.

I'm glad that they're focusing mostly on the missing girl, when I read the book I had wished they had expanded on that part of it more
